Dear Harper,
I can't believe it's been 3 months! You are such a big and strong baby that I forget you are three months. You have the sweetest disposition and you are THE EASIEST BABY! You are also the smiliest baby I know. Okay, I know smiliest isn't a word but it should be. I don't have the time I had with Maddie to sit and marvel at you but I do marvel at you every chance I get. You're eyes are so mesmerizing. I stare at them and get lost in them. Your lips are just like a rose bud and are the prettiest shade of pink. You absolutely adore your sister and smile anytime she comes near you even though she usually bumps heads with you and suffocates you with one of her famous hugs! You are such a sweet heart and you have been the best addition to our family we could ask for.
BABY STATS:
Sleep:
You continue to sleep through the nights most nights. Sometimes you wake up for a feeding but not very often. You typically go to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and wake up around 6:00. Naps are typically 3 per day. You continue to have 4-5 hour sleeping spells in the afternoon a couple times a week. I have never ever seen a baby that loves her swaddle more than you. You smile the entire time we put you into it. I don't know how we are going to wean you off of your swaddle!
Daily Routine:
Everyday it's the same routine. Breakfast for Maddie. Bottle for you. Figure out what we're going to do for the day. We fit in naps and errands where we can. We try to fit in tummy time, upsie daisies and books where we can. A long afternoon nap is always at home for you and Maddie. Then we get dinner ready and wait for Daddy to come home. A little downtime before bed and then it's books with sissy sometimes, change of diaper, swaddle and then bed.
We take walks to pick up Maddie from school.
We have "slumber parties"
Maddie loves tummy time with Harper
Maddies famous Harper hugs
Sweet kisses
Feedings:
We're having some issues here, sweetie. Everything seemed fine with your bottles and then things started getting difficult. We would sit down to feed you and you would cry and arch your back and turn your head, often throwing your hands up and knocking the bottle out of our hands onto the floor. Your face would be covered with milk. This was multiple times a day. It got to the point we could only feed you in your swing or carseat and it got so bad that I had to call the doctor after you refused to take bottles from me at all. The Dr. sent me home telling me to feed you every three hours and bigger bottles. I did that and called two days later saying you still refused to take bottles from me. The Doctor ordered a swallow study which I should have taken you to today but I had appendicitis and couldn't take you so I've rescheduled and should know more in a couple of weeks. I did switch your bottles from fat bottles to skinny bottles and that seems to have helped. I haven't fed you in your swing or carseat since then but the crying and arching back still continues. I am looking forward to getting this resolved. Feeding time can be very stressful for both of us!

Funniest Moment:
Your giggles. They make me laugh. They are more of a high pitch squeal than a laugh. I love it!
Milestones:
Your neck is getting stronger.
You bat at things more and more when they are in front of you.
You open your hands more.
You're starting to coo and babble more.
You turn your head when you follow a toy or hear a sound.
Your favorite toys:
You are getting tired of your activity mat but you still lay on it to please us and be a good baby. A few times you have cried when I've placed you on it. You LOVE for me to read you books. You've started taking interest in the tv. Maddie's shows have bright colors which you really love.
Firsts:
First belly laugh - April 7
Teething - poor thing. You have started teething so early that you don't know how to get your hand or a toy to your mouth to relieve yourself. You don't like it when I try and hold something to your mouth for you to chew on either so I give you teething tablets and try to comfort you the best I can.
You've just started getting your hands to your mouth on purpose.
I love you and so does your Daddy,
Mommy
Oh my goodness, your girls are so precious! I love the pics of the two of them together. Sounds like things are going really well for you - I'm so happy for you!!!
