10 months Oct 15 - Nov 15

Hi Harper!

Well, your first holiday season is in full swing and as usual things are moving fast.  So are you!  We set the Christmas Tree up and you like to look at it now (three weeks after we set it up and two weeks before Christmas but after we first put the tree up you loved exploring.

Your stats are long over due, so here they are my love.

Weight:
24 lbs 8 oz
30.25 inches

100 percintile for each area during your Doctors visit.

Talking:  Still waiting!  Nothing yet.  Darn it!  A lot more babbling than coo'ing.  I keep thinking you are saying Da-Da but when I try to get you to repeat it you are getting close but it's not quite here yet.

Walking - Faster and faster with your pusher and the help of Mommy and Daddy.  Maddie has even helped you walk.  It's so funny.  Maddie sits on her princess car and you push her around like she really is a princess.  Sorry to make you feel like hired help but it is funny!  You still crawl everywhere.

Teeth - No new ones this month.

Eating - Nothing has changed here.  Harper, you are the messiest baby!  I feel guilty sometimes because I switched you to solids so soon after introducing you to baby puree food but girrrrrlllll I couldn't take it!  I try from time to time to spoon feed you but you either grab the spoon with your hand resulting in tug of war or you bite down on the spoon and won't let go (AND YOU LOOK AT ME AND SMILE THE ENTIRE TIME YOU BITE THE SPOON!).

Toys - you love the doll house, the kitchen and tower building!  Your favorite right now is the playground but it's getting so cold we'll have to find something else to do.

Holidays -

Halloween!

You also had your first Halloween!  Maddies favorite show is Olivia the Pig and I think it was your Aunt Nancy that suggested you be Olivia's cat, Edwin since Maddie was going to be Olivia.  It turned out to be a cute idea!  We went to St. Louis for Maddie's first time trick-or-treating.  Carson and Lilly have gone to Poppy's house for years and this was Carson's first year going out with his friends instead of Poppy's so we thought we would bring you and Maddie to his place so he'd still have a full house on Halloween.  He really enjoyed it.  We stayed with Ken and Sue who loved having us.  It was a great weekend.

Everyone of those pictures are my very favorite.  I've been trying to decide which one I like the most but I give up.  They are all my fave!

Your first Thanksgiving is coming up!  We are headed to St.  Louis and will enjoy being with family.

You and Maddie are interacting more and more.  It melts my heart to see the two of you truly enjoying each others company.

Firsts-Covering your head with blankies and playing peek-a-boo.   Raising your hands when Mommy says "soooooo big".  Making the all done sign when Mommy makes it to say you are done with dinner.  Reaching into your buckets.  Placing things in your buckets and then dumping them out.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know dear how much I love you so please don't take your sunshine away.

I love you sunshine.

Love,
Mama
